I provide a Ramblin' Bill "Live" promotional cd to owners and managers who might be interested in having me perform in their venues. It allows them to hear the interaction between my audiences and my performances.
My performances are usually "A One Man" show, although it's not unusual to have other musicians sit in for a few songs. I like to call it "Operating Without A Net" because when I'm playing alone, I've got no one else (band) to blame for a bad chord progression or my voice not being in harmony with my guitar.
In 2015 I began digitally recording my "Live" performances in order to study the interaction my audiences have with the songs I choose to play from my 600 plus song repertoire. If there is no audience response or a bad response to a specific song, I'll select another song to add to the set next time; a lesson I learned from blues singer Sam 'Lightnin' Hopkins one night during conversation we had over a drink, "Boy, if people's not listening to your songs, you are singing the wrong songs".
Below, I've included songs from a "Live" Performance I did in the summer of 2015 in the Rocky Mountains, and my venue was a combination Bar, Dining Room, and Game Room in the historic Fairplay-Valiton Hotel in Fairplay, Colorado, where many in my audience sat, ate, drank, listened to my music, and enjoyed themselves for the 4 hours that I played.
I play Classic Rock, Country, and Blues, and after taking Lighnin's advice years ago, I am able to satisfy most of my audiences music needs.
Venue owners and management are once again bringing live music to their customers, and in turn, are realizing that if their customers enjoy the music, they stay for longer periods of time and spend more money, eating, drinking, and having a memorable experience.
I hope you enjoy the music also and allow me to entertain your clientele in the future.
Thank you.
