After a long pause to build a career in corporate America, upon retirement, I once again focused upon returning to being a professional musician and performing for audiences, a business that I had begun in the mid-1960’s.
This time around though, I decided not to play the bars I previously sought out for the excitement and perquisites that only a young entertainer can appreciate, and by the way, survive in.
This time and very likely for the duration of my life, I have chosen to present my music in the consistent format of Performing Arts Venues, where my performances explore the history and music of the past singers, songwriters, and bands who became MUSICAL LEGENDS when they melded Blues, Country, Folk, and Rock-A-Billy music into the exciting music era of the 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s, and part of the 80’s, a Genre now known as Americana, which represents the greatest musical transitions in the history of music, so far.
The interesting thing is that music history tends to move forward and then back, providing the audiences consistent opportunity to enjoy the music that they are familiar with. The Americana Genre satisfies my chosen audiences needs, that is the age group from 65 to 85 years of age.
Like many of the performers and songwriters whom I use in my LEGENDS “Live Musical Documentaries”, I am a Solo Performer, “most of the time”, allowing me to sit down, pick up my guitar, and for an hour or two, present both the history and the music of Rock, Blues, Folk, and Country, in a Performing Arts format.
